Lead Lists
A Lead List is a saved collection of companies that you intend to target.
You can create a new list directly from the Companies search page when saving prospects, or via the Lists tab in the sidebar.
The results table previews up to 5,000 matches for speed, so a large search shows the count as "5,000+". Auto-save all to a list is not limited to what is shown: it grabs the full set of matches (up to 250,000 per list), and the save dialog tells you exactly how many companies are available and how many you can afford before you confirm. In the save dialog you can either create a new list or pick an existing list to add the matches to. Adding to an existing list only charges for companies that are new to it, so topping up a list never makes you pay twice for ones you already have. To target more than 250,000, split the work with a tighter filter (by country, sub-industry, or quality) and build a list per segment.
Large lists are built in the background. When you confirm, the list opens right away showing a Building… status while we select the companies for you (a broad filter can take a little while), and it fills in automatically once it is ready. You can leave the page and come back. We reserve the credits when you start and charge only for the companies actually added, refunding the difference the moment the build finishes. If a build can not complete (usually because the filters were too broad), the list is marked Build failed and you are not charged, so you can narrow the filters and try again.
Saving a single company from its profile also creates a one-company list automatically, so direct contact purchases and saved prospect lists live in the same workspace.
If you delete one of those auto-created one-company lists later, it stays out of your Lists view until you explicitly save that company again.
- Naming: Give your list a clear name indicating the segment or intent (e.g., "Tech Startups in Berlin - AI matches").
- Reviewing: Open a list to see all prospects included. You can remove any companies that don't fit manually.
- Bulk employee unlock: On the list detail page, use the row checkboxes to select multiple companies, then queue employee unlock jobs for all eligible companies in one step. Each company still runs as its own unlock job and uses the same credit rules as the single-company flow.
Before you can export a list or use it in a campaign, it's highly recommended to verify the emails.
- Open your list and click Verify Emails.
- Anansio's background engine will perform a three-layer check (Syntax → MX Record → SMTP Handshake) without actually sending an email to the prospect's inbox.
- The status of each contact will update to:
Valid: Safe to email.Invalid: Hard bounce likely; these are automatically suppressed.Catch-All: Server accepts all emails; proceed with some caution.Unknown: Server is unresponsive.
Verify as soon as your list is stable. That keeps bad contacts out of exports and avoids spending credits on leads you are unlikely to reach.
If you prefer to use external CRM or outreach tools, you can export your list. Exporting consumes your account Credits (generally 1 credit per verified lead). You will receive a secure, time-sensitive download link containing a CSV file of your data.
Before the file is built, addresses we already know will bounce (confirmed invalid or disposable mailboxes) are dropped, so they never reach your CSV. The same applies to anyone on your suppression list, who has unsubscribed, or who previously hard-bounced: they are excluded from the export just as they would be skipped at send time. Each remaining contact carries an Email Status column so you can judge deliverability before you send from another tool:
Valid: mailbox confirmed.Catch-all: the server accepts all mail, so we cannot confirm the individual mailbox; usually fine, send with some caution.Unknown: the mailbox could not be confirmed.Unverified: not mailbox-checked yet. Anansio verifies mailboxes just before it sends, so a list you have not sent through Anansio readsUnverified. Run Verify Emails first if you want confirmed statuses in your export.
